A PROPER INTRODUCTION...
Amelia (Millie) Taphouse
The Thoughtful Nanny
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I am Amelia (but most people know me as Millie) and I am the Business Owner of ‘The Thoughtful Nanny’.
Since I was little, I have always had a passion for working with children. At 16 I began volunteering at a local childminder's and I quickly felt at home. I was offered a job there and later, once I had more experience, began babysitting.
From there, I decided I wanted to develop my passion further into my career. At 19, I studied hard to be able to register with OFSTED and 'The Thoughtful Nanny' was created.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ME...
I treat all children with equity regardless of their race, religion or belief, language, family background, gender, or disability. I follow my legal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and provide reasonable adjustments where appropriate.
Children’s safety and wellbeing is paramount, I ensure that this is at the forefront of everything I do with them.
I care deeply about children’s learning and development and integrate this into fun and engaging activities (both indoor and outdoor).
I take care of babies and children's physical and emotional well-being. l take care of all their needs such as:
-
providing them with nutritious meals
-
allocating suitable sleep and rest times
-
changing nappies and assisting with toilet training
-
bathing and showering
-
dressing them appropriately
-
co-ordinating activities
-
cleaning and washing up after mealtimes/activities
-
take them to appointments such as doctors/dentists
-
take them to pre-organised activities such as swimming lessons or sports
As I am based in your house, wherever possible, (for example, during babies/children's nap times), I strive to help with housework such as laundry, meal prep, general tidying and cleaning as long as this does not compromise the level of care the children receive.
